Waltzer/Ark kit
Here are some
pictures of the prototype model. It has been running just about continuously
for 6 months to check for wear on all parts. A big concern for model makers has
been my use of moulded plastic gears, after many hours of test running they
show no signs of wear. The roof will have rafter material supplied but it will
be up to the individual model maker to decide on the style and type of
lighting. A different style of centre pay box will also be available based on
the one used on the full size machine when the drawings were produced in July
1942 by George Tucker. The full size machine was at that time owned by Chas
Openshaw of
Having now had the
model running successfully I have the task of writing the instructions to
accompany it. As a guide price the kit will be around £500.00 it (photos
for illustration only actual kit and parts may vary) .
